Chain Waxing System

Our chain wax and waxing system is designed to be easy to use and will save you time and money over the course of a season!

Step 1: Prepping Your Chain

Prepping the chain is crucial for wax adhesion. We need to start with a chain that is clean and stripped down to bare metal: no dirt, factory grease, or oil-based lubes. You only have to do this once with a chain! Once it’s waxed, cleaning and re-waxing is quick, easy, and requires no degreasers.

  1. Place the new/used chain in a mason jar filled with mineral spirits.
  2. Let it soak for 20–30 minutes.
  3. Shake the jar to dislodge contaminants.
  4. Remove the chain and rinse with alcohol or hot water until fully clean.
